A Midsummer Night's Post

I can't believe July is almost over now and it's been FOREVER since I wrote a post on my blog. David's on his way to Mexico, Oliver and Tucker are sound asleep, and I've already done the dishes, so I guess I can take a moment to load a few photos. :)

Oh drat. I guess I forgot how to load these properly so they are in backward order. It's like our summer in reverse. Fun. :)

Enjoying a bonfire before the teen camping trip.

David makes a new doorway to our basement (and a big mess).

Oliver eats Cheerios with a fork.

David tears out walls in the basement.

Oliver obsesses about shoes.

Enjoying Challenge Camp at Yamhill.

Baby pool time.

Installing all new plumbing at our house.

4th of July Party.

Church camping trip.

Cleaning up our back yard.

Happy Father's Day!

A little date with Edward Cullen.

One of David's crazy hair stages.

I have high hopes for updating in greater frequency!

Yes, that is a toilet plunger. No, it has not been used in a toilet.

He also likes to show his love by ripping our faces off. :)

1 Couple, 6 Years, Lotsa' Fun!

David and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary earlier this month. My mom came up for the weekend and watched Oliver for us so we had Friday night and all day on Saturday baby-free! We borrowed a motorcycle from a friend at church and took a drive on the Historic Columbia River Highway through the gorge on a beautiful, sunny day. We stopped at Crown Point and toured the Vista House before making our way to Multnomah Falls. We had a relaxing lunch at the foot of the falls and then took a short hike to the bridge. (Yeah, we were too lazy to go to the top that day.) We cruised back to Troutdale and spent the afternoon browsing the little shops in the downtown area. It was then time for a sushi dinner and YoCream for dessert before strolling through Ikea and picking up a couple little items for the house. All in all, it was a very enjoyable day and it was very nice to spend some quality time together. Here are a few photo highlights from the day:

We just celebrated the completion of the first year with our wonderful baby boy. Here are some of Oliver's 1-year-old pictures captured on a rare sunny day in Portland.
